British welterweight Lee Purdy believes that Leonard Bundu is the ideal opponent for him as he attempts to win the European title on Saturday night.
Purdy enters the bout at London's ExCel Arena as the underdog, but the Essex fighter has insisted that he couldn't have prepared any better for his match with the unbeaten Italian.
The 26-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Every fighter says it but I really am in the best shape of my life. If there was an opponent that I could choose stylistically, then Bundu would be it.
"It's going to be a cracking fight for me and the fans, and I'm just really looking forward to fighting now, putting on a big show and finishing off the year with a bang."
Purdy enters Saturday's encounter on the back of a disappointing defeat to Devon Alexander for the IBF title in May.
