Sky Sports to decide on November date for Wladimir Klitschko, Tyson Fury bout

Wladimir Klitschko is cleared to face Tyson Fury on November 28, but a final decision on whether the heavyweight clash goes ahead remains with broadcasters Sky Sports.

Tyson Fury has revealed on Twitter that Wladimir Klitschko has been cleared to defend his world heavyweight titles at the end of November, providing that an agreement can be reached with Sky Sports.

Last week, Klitschko suffered a calf injury in training, resulting in their scheduled October 24 bout in Dusseldorf being postponed, but due to Fury's mandatory status for the Ukrainian's world titles, the contest must be arranged for a later date.

Fury, as well as uncle and trainer Peter, announced on Friday that they have been informed of Klitschko's availability for November 28, but the final decision will remain with Sky, who are already scheduled to screen two pay-per-view events in the space of eight weeks.

A card featuring Kell Brook's IBF welterweight title clash with Diego Chaves is due to take place on PPV on October 24, while Anthony Joshua's showdown with Dillian Whyte is scheduled for London's O2 Arena on December 12.

It has previously been suggested that Klitschko's title defence against Fury would have to be held off until February, but with the champion said to be prepared to fight on November 28, it remains to be seen whether amendments will be made to their current schedule to accommodate Fury's world title challenge.
