British middleweight Matthew Macklin has returned to action with a points win over Jose Yebes.
Macklin hasn't fought since December after seeing significant bouts with Daniel Geale and Jorge Sebastian Heiland fall through, but he will be pleased with his night's work in Kiel.
After nine months out of the ring, the 32-year-old was understandably slow into his rhythm, but once he found it, he had too much for the Spaniard.
Macklin upped the tempo in the second half of the contest and although he couldn't force a stoppage, he has eight rounds in the bank ahead of his appearance in Dublin in the winter.
