Cricket legend Andrew Flintoff has recorded victory over Richard Dawson on his professional boxing debut in Manchester.
The former England all-rounder started at lightening pace, going forward with rights and lefts. However, his technique looked slack and he failed to trouble the American.
Flintoff was sent crashing early in the second when he was caught by a flashing left hook. That did not deter him, as he jumped back to his feet and continued to apply pressure on Dawson.
The 34-year-old had the crowd on their feet early in the final round when he landed a few decent shots after Dawson had backed himself onto the ropes.
Flintoff raised his hand when the final bell sounded, and the referee soon followed suit as he took the decision by a single point.
