David Price's career at the top level is hanging by a thread after he was stopped inside two rounds by Erkan Teper in Germany.
Price had been hoping to claim the vacant European heavyweight title against Teper, who was unbeaten in 14 outings heading into the fight, but the Liverpudlian never got into the contest as he was blasted out in the second round.
The first three minutes were dominated by Teper, who left Price nursing a cut mouth, and it only got worse for the Olympic bronze medallist as he was felled by a huge left hook from his opponent.
The fight was soon waved off with Price never looked like beating the count, and the 32-year-old falls to three defeats in 22 outings as a professional.
