Team GB flyweight Muhammad Ali has opened his campaign at the European Games with a unanimous points win over Alexandr Riscan of Moldova this morning.
The teenager only dropped two points on the judge's scorecards in the three-round bout in Baku, winning 29-28, 30-27, 29-28 across the three scorecards.
Ali won the third round with all three judges as his 25-year-old opponent started to tire as the fight progressed.
Ali, who won gold of the European Championships and a silver in the World Championships at youth level last year, will take on Italy's Vincenzo Picardi in the round of 16 on Saturday.
