Team GB boxer Pat McCormack has been beaten by Russia's Vitaly Dunaytsev in the last-16 stage of the 2015 World Championships in Doha.
McCormack had revenge on his mind in the light-welterweight bout, with Dunaytsev overcoming the Brit when they clashed in the final of the European Championships in August.
McCormack was the aggressor in the early stages of the first round, but Dunaytsev began to open up as time progressed, with both boxers showing strong defence and quick foot-work.
All three judges gave the first round to McCormack, who landed the cleaner shots in addition to maintaining a good distance from his classy opponent.
The scores were tied 19-19 by all three judges after the second, however, with Dunaytsev just about shading what was another high-quality round.
Both boxers showed their respect at the end of the third after what was another fierce round, but it was Dunaytsev that triumphed 29-28 on all three scorecards to advance into the final eight.
