Team GB's Tim Brabants has qualified for the semi-finals of the men's kayak single (K1) 1000m.
Brabants is the reigning Olympic champion and despite only finishing fifth in his heat, he will compete in the semi-finals later this morning.
Canada's Adam van Koeverden won the heat, two seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
