Australia cricket captain Michael Clarke has confirmed that he is to retire from international cricket at the end of the current Ashes series.
The 34-year-old batsman will skipper the side for the final time in the fifth Test at the Oval later this month, his 115th appearance for the Test side.
Cricket Australia confirmed the news on Twitter shortly after England regained the Ashes with victory at the Trent Bridge Test:
Clarke made his Test debut against India in 2004.
