Australia have built a lead of 304 runs at lunch on day three of the first Ashes Test against England in Brisbane.
David Warner (83) and Michael Clarke (34) will look to build on their 60-run partnership in the second session, with the hosts 145-2 in their second innings.
Stuart Broad made an early breakthrough in the second over of the day, tempting Chris Rogers (16) into a loose shot that tracked straight to Michael Carberry at point.
The Aussies made slow progress in adding to their lead, although they fell to 75-2 when Shane Watson (8) took on a short ball from Chris Tremlett, only to leave Broad with a simple catch at mid-on.
Warner got to his half-century as he and skipper Clarke guided the hosts to 94-2 before the rain came and brought a 15-minute delay in play.
Tremlett, Graeme Swann and Joe Root have been unable to break their resistance, as they manoeuvre their team into a strong position.
