James Anderson and Stuart Broad are named in England's 12-man squad for the second Test match, while Australia make one change ahead of the day-night game in Adelaide.

England captain Joe Root may be left with a straight choice between James Anderson and Joe Root for the second Test match with Australia.

The veteran pair were controversially left out of the opening contest in Brisbane, the assumption being that both players would play in the day-night encounter in Adelaide.

However, with just Mark Wood being rested and Jack Leach likely being chosen on a dry pitch, it appears that one of the duo will be left disappointed once again.

Ben Stokes has been selected, despite concerns over an ongoing knee problem, while Chris Woakes is expected to keep his place at number eight.

As for Australia, Pat Cummins has made just one alteration, the injured Josh Hazlewood being replaced by Jhye Richardson.

Despite picking up a rib injury, opening batsman David Warner has been passed fit for the game which starts on Thursday. body check tags ::
