England bowler Stuart Broad believes that taking six wickets on the first day of the third Ashes Test against Australia is a "good effort".
The tourists restricted the Aussies to 143-5 at one stage during the day, but a century from Steve Smith and impressive performances from Brad Haddin and Mitchell Johnson closed play with the hosts on 326-6.
After stumps, Broad wrote on Twitter: "Could have been better today but 6 wickets on a Day 1 Test pitch after losing yet another Toss is a pretty good effort."
Smith (103) and Johnson (39) will resume at the crease tomorrow in Perth.
