Kevin Pietersen's knock during the ongoing third Ashes Test at Old Trafford has seen him become England's leading run scorer of all time in all formats of the game.
The South Africa-born batsman achieved the feat during the afternoon session in Manchester when he scored his 13,191st international run in England colours.
It took him beyond Graham Gooch, who has 13,190 runs to his name, while Alec Stewart in third made 13,140.
Pietersen, 33, made his debut for England in a one-day international against Zimbabwe in November 2004.
