Australia extended their lead over England by 108 runs during the morning session on day three of the fifth Ashes Test.
England took three wickets, as George Bailey (46), Brad Haddin (28) and Mitchell Johnson (4) all departed.
However, hosts Australia are still in total control of the match, leading by 419, having reached lunch on 248-7.
Chris Rogers has recorded his second hundred in as many matches and remains unbeaten on 114 off 163 balls, alongside Ryan Harris (1*).
Australia are almost certainly heading for their first Ashes whitewash since 2007, but there have been a few moments of success for the tourists to enjoy this morning.
Scott Borthwick claimed his second Test wicket by disturbing Haddin's stumps. Durham's leg-spinning all-rounder had earlier taken an excellent catch diving forward in the deep to get rid of Bailey.
Ben Stokes's impressive form also continued, as he took his eighth wicket of the match to remove Johnson.
