Australia have continued to frustrate England during the afternoon session on day one of the second Ashes Test at Lord's.
The tourists returned after lunch on 104-1 and added 87 runs to their score without the loss of any further wickets.
Chris Rogers swiftly arrived at his half-century following the restart and went on to reach 81 not out before tea was called.
Steve Smith ended the session on 62 not out, but the batsman was fortunate to remain at the crease soon after he passed the 50-run mark as Ian Bell dropped him in the slips off a Ben Stokes delivery.
