England have halted an Australian fightback at tea on day two of the fourth Ashes Test at Trent Bridge.
The tourists have moved to within 193 runs of England with a score of 138-4, but the loss of four wickets in 27 balls has plunged them into trouble.
David Warner was dropped twice during the afternoon session as Australia tried to dig their heels in and frustrate England.
The home side thought that they had made a breakthrough when Joe Root caught Chris Rogers off a Mark Wood delivery, but it was chalked off as replays showed that Wood's foot was over the line for a no-ball.
Rogers brought up his half-century soon after, though his joy was swiftly ended when Ben Stokes struck to send him back for 52.
Warner then registered his own 50, only for Stokes to land another blow to Australia's resurgence by getting him out for 64.
Shaun Marsh and Steven Smith tried to steady the Aussie ship during the final stages of the session, but they both lost their wickets in quick succession for two and five respectively as Stokes and Stuart Broad both claimed more victims.
