Alastair Cook has praised the efforts of Steven Finn during England's 5-0 one-day international series loss to India.
England succumbed to defeat in the fifth ODI in Kolkata and Cook was left to reflect on the few positives from the series.
The England captain, who thinks that the exposure to Indian conditions should help his young players, reserved special praise for Finn.
"Only four of us have played one-day series out here and it's great for the youngsters to get the experience," said Cook.
"It will show where they need to improve and we all need to improve as a side. We got thoroughly beaten out here but there are quite a few positives; I thought Steven Finn throughout the series has been excellent."
Finn, who took eight wickets during the series, will now spend a month playing for Otago Volts in New Zealand.
England play the final match of their tour of India on Saturday when the two sides meet in a Twenty20 International in Kolkata.
