Edgbaston has experienced a "bombardment" in demand for tickets ahead of England's third Test against India next Wednesday.
It has been reported that 85,000 tickets have been sold for the Birmingham Test.
"It's been like a bombardment," James McLaughlin, Warwickshire's commercial director, told the Telegraph.
"Ticket sales are very much in line to an Ashes series which is normally unheard of.
"There is no doubt that there is an almighty buzz around the world of cricket at the moment and Edgbaston is now the focus," he added.
If England beat India then they will become the world's number one ranked international side.
