The England cricket team were locked in their Birmingham hotel on Monday night as the riots that have gripped London spread to the West Midlands.
Kevin Pietersen took to Twitter to express his concerns and post a picture of rioters in the city.
“They have just locked our hotel in Birmingham,” wrote the batsman.
“Riots just started here.. Insane!!”
England are due to take on India in the third Test at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
