Tim Bresnan has insisted that a disappointing few months has not stopped England from being confident heading into matches.
The seamer believes that England are still playing well in patches, despite being involved in unsuccessful tours of Australia and the West Indies in recent months.
"We're still confident," Bresnan told reporters ahead of Thursday's World Twenty20 game against Sri Lanka. "Things haven't gone our way over the last few months but we still believe we're playing good cricket, turning out good performances.
"But stringing together everything at the same time is a problem for us. If we can find that spark and everything clicks, we can beat anyone in the world."
England lost their first game of the tournament to New Zealand on Saturday.
