England captain Stuart Broad has claimed that his side were unable to adapt to South Africa's bowling after they lost the opening Twenty20 international.
The hosts were beaten by seven wickets in Durham after making 118 with the bat.
"We got a little bit stuck with the spin. We played nicely through the first six overs, but struggled in the middle period. We are aware of that and we know where to improve," Broad told Sky Sports News.
"It's not too much of a concern, we need to adapt and learn from this game."
The three-match series continues on Monday at Old Trafford.
