The England and Wales Cricket Board have offered Jos Buttler an incremental contract for 2011-12.
The Somerset wicketkeeper-batsman became eligible for the award after competing in nine Twenty20s and a one-dayer this term.
"This award reflects the contribution Jos has made this year in the shorter formats of the game for England and we congratulate him on his achievement," said national selector Geoff Miller.
Buttler is currently in action with England at the T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
