England captain Alastair Cook has targeted a 2-0 win over New Zealand in order to provide confidence heading into the back-to-back Ashes series.
Cook's side produced a dominant second-innings bowling display to take the first Test 1-0, and the captain has said that it is "important" to keep winning.
"It is vitally important," Cook told Sky Sports News. "You want to win every game that you play and you want to win any series involved in.
"That is the challenge we have ahead of us now and we want to try to win. It sounds pretty simple but there is a lot of hard work and a lot of skill and toughness needed to win it."
The second Test at Headingley begins on Friday.
