Steven Finn desperate for Ashes recall

:Headline: Steven Finn desperate for Ashes recall: ID:108283: from db_amp
Steven Finn is targeting a return to England's Ashes team in time for the first match of the reverse series against Australia this winter.

Steven Finn is determined to bounce back from his individual Ashes disappointment and secure a spot in England's team for the reverse series against Australia this winter.

Poor form saw the Middlesex paceman dropped after just one Test of this summer's battle against the Aussies, but he is one of five seamers that have been named in England's squad for the tour Down Under.

The 24-year-old feels that his bowling was much improved in the latter stages of the English season, but realises that he need to continue to impress in order to put himself in pole position for selection for the opening Test at Brisbane on November 21.

"It didn't happen for me and I've gone away after a being dropped and worked hard to rectify the things that went wrong for me in the early part of the summer," he told Sky Sports News.

"Towards the back end of the summer I felt I was in good rhythm and felt I was back to my best so I'm looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into Australia.

"You learn from these disappointments. I have to make it so it is difficult to leave me out, but there is a lot of hard work before that can happen."

Finn, who has taken 90 wickets at an average of 29.40 in his 23 Test matches, is competing with Stuart Broad, Chris Tremlett and Boyd Rankin to join James Anderson and Graeme Swann in the bowling attack.
