Steven Finn has insisted that he has become a better bowler for England because of the setbacks he has suffered in his international career.
The 23-year-old is hoping to secure a place in the team during the tour to India this winter but claims that he is capable of coming back from any disappointment.
Finn told the Evening Standard: "I've had ambitions of becoming a pillar of this side since I was 16 and I certainly think it's possible to be a regular in all three formats.
"I've had a few tough times when I've been left out of the team and had to fight my way back in.
"A big part of being a successful international cricketer is knowing how to deal with the bad days and I feel I can do that better now."
The first Test begins on November 15 in Ahmedabad.
