England limited-overs coach Ashley Giles has admitted that Kent captain James Tredwell is in contention for England across all formats of the game.
Tredwell played in the Twenty20 series against New Zealand last winter but did not feature in the one-day internationals.
Giles, however, said that Tredwell's attitude makes sure that he is always in the thoughts of the selectors.
"James is a very mature bloke, just dead straight, and is a good bloke to have around," Giles told ThisisKent.co.uk.
"I really enjoy his company and he is a very honest and down-to-earth bloke and they are great traits to have for a captain and coach and as a captain.
"He is the sort of bloke you would run through a brick wall for so I think he will have some good success as captain for Kent and be in the mix for England."
Tredwell has played 14 ODIs for England.
