The tourist's other wicket was taken by spin-bowler Monty Panesar, who was making his first international Test appearance since the 2009 Ashes series.
Misbah-ul-Haq top scored for Pakistan and still remains at the crease with a score of 83.
Asad Shafiq also claimed his half century, before being trapped lbw by Swann for 58.
