England bowler Graeme Swann has returned from India to spend time with his unwell daughter, the England and Wales Cricket Board have confirmed.
Swann has flown home to support his family and will miss the team's final warm-up match against Haryana, which begins later this week.
A crucial element of England's spin attack, Swann is expected to return to the sub-continent in time for the first Test against India which begins on Thursday, November 15.
England management have a number of selection headaches ahead of next week's match with Stuart Broad and Steven Finn both doubtful with injury niggles.
Finn is struggling with a thigh strain suffered against India 'A' while Broad continues to struggle with a bruised heel.
