James Vince has said that he can take some confidence from his recent performance at Headingley for Hampshire ahead of his England Test debut at the same venue.
Last month, the 25-year-old struck the 18th first-class century of his career at the home of champions Yorkshire.
Now that he is likely to be included in the national side to face Sri Lanka in Leeds on Thursday, Vince is hopeful that his knock of 119 runs from 221 balls will work in his favour.
"It will help a little bit. Coming here with some runs under my belt earlier in the season should give me some confidence," he told Sky Sports News.
"I want to try and enjoy every second. To be here and be a part of this team is very exciting."
Vince has scored 6,654 runs from his 109 first-class outings.
