Joe Root hits a century as England seal a 2-1 one-day international series win over the West Indies.

England have sealed a series win with victory by 25 runs in the third one-day international against the West Indies.

The tourists were put in to bat after losing the toss, but made the most of their chances to set the home side a target of 304 for the win.

Joe Root hit his first ODI century, while Jos Buttler just missed out on his ton, having been caught and bowled by Ravi Rampaul for 99 in the final over of England's innings.

Root proved vital for England with the ball too, as he bowled Kieran Powell with the final ball of the hosts' first over.

Three more wickets fell inside the opening eight overs as the West Indies were reduced to 43-4.

Marlon Samuels and Denesh Ramdin managed to give the home side some hope with a resilient performance by the middle order duo, but Samuels was caught behind by Butler for 23.

Ramdin continued to hit the ball around the ground as he passed the half-century mark, but he could not build a partnership, leaving the West Indies needing 81 off the last seven overs.

Stuart Broad had a chance to catch Ramdin out in the 43rd over, but the batsman managed to hold on to claim his century, but he was bowled by Tim Bresnan, sealing a win for the tourists.
