Moeen Ali and Jonny Bairstow shared an unbeaten century stand as England opened up a 311-run lead over Pakistan on day four of the third Test at Edgbaston.
Ali ended the day on 60 and Bairstow on 82 when play was brought to a close, having seen Alastair Cook (66) and Alex Hales (54) earlier fall with the hosts on 126, but England recovered from that point to reach 414-5 in their second innings.
Joe Root was caught sweeping to Yasir Shah, who ended the day on 2-152, while James Vince (42) fell to Mohammad Amir who himself took 2-73.
Gary Ballance also contributed 28 runs, with England the side on top and well on course to edge ahead in a four-match series that is currently locked at 1-1.
