Saqib Mahmood kept his nerve as Lancashire secured a nail-biting one-run win over Roses rivals Yorkshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
The first two balls of Mahmood's final over went for four at the Emerald Headingley with the home side needing 16 to overhaul the visitors' total of 311.
But needing three off the last ball, Josh Poysden was run out to leave Yorkshire agonisingly short of their target.
Steven Croft had earlier hit 97 to help Lancashire, who had won the toss and elected to bat first, recover from 116 for four to reach 311 for six from their 50 overs.
Yorkshire opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore also fell three runs short of a hundred as his side fought back from 87 for three, but his efforts ultimately proved to be in vain.
Elsewhere in the North Group, Colin Ackermann helped himself to an unbeaten 152 and Lewis Hill blasted a 54-ball century to help Leicestershire to a surprise 38-run victory against Worcestershire.
The hosts found themselves two down with just five runs on the board in a disastrous first over, but opener Harry Dearden's 91, Ackermann's knock and 118 from Hill helped them to 377 for four, their highest List-A score against another county.
Ross Whiteley contributed 131 to revive the visitors after a poor start – but they were eventually bowled out for 339 with 22 balls remaining.
Life was significantly more straightforward for Northamptonshire as they cruised to a 194-run win over Warwickshire at Northampton.
West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder starred for the hosts, scoring 60 not out with the bat as the home side made 358 for six from their allocation, and then taking three for 26 as the visitors were skittled out for 164 in just 34.4 overs.
Victory was almost as comprehensive at Derby, where opener Ben Slater's 83 and unbeaten fifties from Tom Moores and Steven Mullaney saw Nottinghamshire win by six wickets with almost five overs to spare.
