All-rounder Matt Coles has left Hampshire by mutual agreement after failing to settle at the county.
The 24-year-old signed a three-year contract at the Ageas Bowl in 2013 after impressing in a loan spell from Kent, but is now moving on to pastures new.
A club statement read: "Matt has performed well for the Club in his short time at the Ageas Bowl but he has not settled as he, or we would have liked. As a result, it has been agreed that he should develop his career elsewhere.
"Hampshire would like to thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future."
England Lions player Coles took 41 wickets last year to help Hampshire to promotion to County Championship Division One and a further 27 in the white-ball formats.
He averages 19.58 with the bat in first-class cricket, with a top score of 103 not out.
