Hampshire have started their preparations for next season by confirming the signings of Jackson Bird and Yasir Arafat.
The Division Two champions have quickly moved on from the success they enjoyed this summer by bringing in Australian fast bowler Bird, who will play in all formats during a three-month spell at the AgeasBowl next year.
"Jackson comes highly recommended and at a time of the year that is likely to suit his style of bowling," Hampshire director of cricket Giles White announced in a statement. "We are looking forward to having him about and hope he has a positive influence on our return to Division One.
"Yasir has the flexibility to play all of our one-day cricket, boasts an excellent record and has committed to the club for further campaigns. An added bonus is that his qualification status may allow him to play as a local during his time with us."
Pakistani all-rounder Arafat, who spent this season with Sussex, will only be available for Hampshire in limited-overs matches.
