India captain MS Dhoni has heaped praise on Rohit Sharma for the batsman's performance in their victory over England on Wednesday.
Sharma struck an impressive 83 runs as the hosts secured a series win in Mohali, and Dhoni is delighted to see the batsman finally take an opportunity to shine.
The wicketkeeper said: "He's one of the most gifted cricketers that we have seen. Unfortunately, he has not done really well with the opportunities he has got.
"We had a chat about him opening the innings at the start of the series and he was very glad to accept it. I think it was a very good performance by him."
India hold an unassailable 3-1 lead heading into the fifth ODI this Sunday.
