India launched a fightback on the second day of their Test match against West Indies by reaching stumps on 354 for the loss of six wickets.
The hosts continued their dominance at the wicket after managing to reach 229-6 at tea following a strong innings from the West Indies.
Rohit Sharma took control by racking up 127 runs from 228 balls, while Ravichandran Ashwin scored 92, with both players remaining unbeaten by the end of the evening session.
Sachin Tendulkar, who will retire after his 200th Test match later this month, could only muster 10 runs during his innings.
