New Zealand have omitted batsman Jesse Ryder from their final T20 World Cup squad following another disciplinary problem.
The 29-year-old all-rounder was dropped from the squad for the second Test against India for going on an all-night drinking session on the eve of the match.
Ryder had only returned to international cricket after a two-year hiatus in January 2014, during which he was placed in a medically induced coma after being assaulted outside of a Christchurch bar, and served a six-month ban for doping.
"[Coach] Mike Hesson and I weren't happy with his preparation, therefore we have had to exclude him," national selection manager Bruce Edgar told reporters.
"Character is really important and if we feel it does not stack up, we will not select a player."
