New Zealand are 211 runs behind the West Indies' first-innings total in the third Test match in Hamilton.

New Zealand have closed day two of the third Test against West Indies on 153-3.

The tourists resumed their first innings on 289-6 and managed to add another 78 runs before Tino Best became the last man to fall, caught by Ish Sodhi off the bowling of BJ Watling, giving the Kiwis a target of 367.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul made his 26th Test century and remained unbeaten at the crease on 122 as he moved up to sixth on the all-time run scorers list.

The home side's innings did not get off to the best of starts, as Darren Sammy caught and bowled Hamish Rutherford before taking the catch to remove Peter Fulton, who tried to take on Sunil Narine.

That left New Zealand 43-2, but Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor steadied the ship, with both men racking up half-centuries. However, he was trapped lbw by Narine.

Captain Brendon McCullum is the new man at the crease with Taylor as New Zealand trail by 211 runs.
