Australia captain Michael Clarke has hailed Ricky Ponting's contribution to cricket following the batsman's decision to retire from all forms of the game.
The 38-year-old announced his decision to step away from the sport after the Champions League in October.
"He's been an amazing player, no doubt about it, and done so much for the game of cricket," BBC Sport quotes Clarke as saying.
Ponting retired from Test cricket in November last year.
