Essex have announced that Jaik Mickleburgh has signed a new contract at the County Ground.
The 25-year-old batsman's previous deal with the Chelmsford-based outfit had expired at the end of last season.
However, following negotiations, Mickleburgh has committed himself to Essex until the conclusion of the 2016 campaign.
"I am delighted to have signed a contract extension at Essex," he told the club's official website.
"The club is a huge part of my life and I'm proud to be playing for this team. We've got plenty of talent in the dressing room and will be pushing hard for success in 2016."
Norwich-born Mickleburgh has made over 100 appearances for Essex in all three formats of the game.
