Danish Kaneria has vowed to prove his innocence after he was banned for life for his part in a match-fixing scandal.
The Pakistan leg-spinner received the punishment from the England and Wales Cricket Board on Friday after being found guilty on two charges for encouraging Essex bowler Mervyn Westfield to deliberately concede 60 runs in return for money. Westfield has been given a five-year ban from the sport.
"I am not guilty and I will prove my innocence," Kaneria told Sky Sports News.
The 31-year-old went on to claim that Westfield had lied in court under oath.
