England all-rounder Luke Wright has signed for the Melbourne Stars ahead of this year's KFC Big Bash League.
The 26-year-old, who has featured in 30 Twenty20 matches for England, is the first overseas player to be added to the Stars squad.
"Wright is an impressive young man who can open the batting or bowling," Stars coach Greg Shipperd told reporters.
"He provides options for the team as he can play any role through the middle to finishing overs.
"We are extremely pleased to have him as one of our foundation players."
Grantham-born Wright also featured heavily as England won the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean last year.
