Kent have confirmed that all-rounder Matt Coles has signed a new "long-term" contract.
The 25-year-old joined Hampshire from Kent in 2014, but he returned to his first club earlier this year.
"I'm thrilled to sign this long-term deal and pledge my future to my home county," he told the club's official website.
"Having spent a short time away, I have been impressed by the progress of the players who came through the academy with me and this has had a major influence on my decision to sign this contract."
The left-handed batsman made his Kent debut back in 2009.
