Australia legend Ricky Ponting has announced that he will retire from all forms of cricket in October.
The 38-year-old has been competing at County level for Surrey following his decision to retire from international Test cricket in November last year.
Despite suggestions that the prolific batsman could return to the Aussie side for this summer's Ashes series in England, Ponting has decided that it is the "right time" to retire from all forms in four months' time.
The former Australia captain, who has also taken part in the IPL since retiring from the national side, is expected to compete in the Champions League with Mumbai before retiring for good.
