Indian schoolboy Pranav Dhanawade has put his name in the cricket record books by becoming the first batsman to score 1,000 runs in an official match.
The 15-year-old ended his innings on 1,009 not out after his side KC Gandhi School declared on 1,465-3 in a match recognised by the Mumbai Cricket Association.
Dhanawade, whose father works as a rickshaw driver, scored 59 sixes, 129 fours and had a strike-rate of 312.38.
The youngster's father Prashant told DNA India: "He has got cramps. I don't know what to say but I feel proud that my son has achieved this. Pranav is getting non-stop calls from the media and relatives. He has not even had time to talk to his mother. She is keenly waiting for him to return home."
On Monday, Dhanawade beat the previous record for the highest individual score - 628 not out - by hitting 652 off 199 balls.
