Nottinghamshire have confirmed the signings of international bowlers Vernon Philander and Ben Hilfenhaus for next season.
South Africa all-rounder Philander, who has previously played for Kent, Middlesex and Somerset, will be available for six County Championship and three T20 Blast matches.
Australia seamer Hilfenhaus, 31, completes Notts' overseas recruitment for 2015 and will replace Philander from June 5 in an attempt to force himself into contention for the touring Ashes squad visiting England later in the summer.
"It is becoming increasingly difficult to recruit an overseas player of high quality to spend an entire season in county cricket, so we're very pleased to have two high quality bowlers sharing the spot," Notts director of cricket Mick Newell told reporters.
Philander has a hugely impressive Test bowling average of 21.57, having taken 115 wickets in 26 matches. Hilfenhaus has 99 Test scalps at 28.50, but has not played for Australia in almost two years.
