England all-rounder Samit Patel hit 63 as Nottinghamshire Outlaws proved too much with the bat for the Leicestershire Foxes at Grace Road.
Patel shared a partnership of 74 with Riki Wessels (68) as the visitors set their local rivals an imposing total of 220-4 to overhaul.
Jigar Naik (2-26) was the pick of the Foxes' attack, who were otherwise expensive.
Greg Smith gave Leicestershire genuine hope of victory with a rapid 102 off just 54 balls, but when he was caught by Steven Mullaney off the bowling of Sam Wood, the hosts were still 47 short of their target with only four overs to go.
In the end, it proved a run chase too far for the Foxes and the result sees Notts climb to fifth in the North Group standings.
