Sri Lanka enjoyed the better of day three during the third Test against Pakistan in Sharjah.
Pakistan resumed their first innings on 35 for 2 as they replied to Sri Lanka's total of 413.
A stand of 98 for the third wicket between Azhar Ali and Younis Khan appeared to have laid a strong platform for Pakistan.
Younis Khan scored 122 and went on to add 100 runs with Misbah-Ul-Haq for the fourth wicket.
However, the loss of Khan sparked a mini-collapse as Pakistan fell from 233 for 3 to 282 for 6 at the close of play.
They are now 131 runs behind Sri Lanka's first innings total with four wickets in hand, with Misbah-Ul-Haq unbeaten on 50 from 164 balls.
Pakistan currently lead the three-match Test series 1-0 after they won the second Test in Dubai.
