Pakistan secure their record Test victory by beating Australia by 356 runs in the second Test in Abu Dhabi, winning the series 2-0.

Pakistan have beaten Australia by 356 runs in the second Test in Abu Dhabi to win the series 2-0 and secure their record victory in a Test match.

With Australia needing to reach 460 runs with six wickets remaining on the fifth day in order to get something from the match, Steven Smith gave them a fighting chance with a knock of 97, before he fell LBW to Yasir Shah just after lunch.

Brad Haddin (13) was the next man to go, after Zulfiqar Babar clean bowled him to leave the Aussies teetering on 238-7.

Shah claimed another wicket in the next over as he bowled Mitchell Johnson out for a duck. Mitchell Starc and Peter Siddle then frustrated their opponents with some dogged defensive work in the middle.

However, Starc fell for two when he was bowled by Shah. Pakistan then wrapped up the match shortly after as Nathan Lyon flicked Babar's delivery towards Azhar Ali, who made an impressive catch to dismiss Lyon for a duck as Australia's run chase ended on 246 all out.

The victory is Pakistan's first Test series win against Australia since 1994.
