Royal Challengers Bangalore have missed the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Indian Premier League table with a 58-run defeat at Mumbai Indians.
The hosts put themselves into bat and made 194 runs for the loss of four wickets from their 20 overs before the Challengers made 136/7 in response.
Dwayne Smith hit 50 for Mumbai, while Dinesh Karthik (43), Kieron Pollard (34) and Sachin Tendulkar (23) saw them set a healthy target for their opponents.
The prize wicket of Chris Gayle went for 16 early on for Bangalore before some meagre resistance came in the form of Saurabh Tiwary's 21.
The visitors continued to struggle at the crease and unbeaten knocks of 23 and 26 from Ravi Rampaul and Vinay Kumar respectively were not enough to earn them a fourth consecutive win.
